Let's Start Training

Hi Friends!

It's time to start training for the QCEA 5K on June 8, 2013.  
We have 4 months to get off the couch and get the race done.  This week I want you to get a good pair of running shoes.  Treat yourself.  A good pair of shoes will help you feel good when training and prevent injuries.  I recommend that you go to a small local running shop to get a good fit.  I like North Wales Running Company in North Wales, PA.  

Next, if you have a smartphone download these 2 apps: RunKeeper & MyNetDiary.  These will help you log your exercise and diet.

Also, check with your doctor to make sure you are healthy enough to begin a workout regiment. Can you walk for at least 30 minutes?  If so, you are ready to begin our adventure together.

Lastly, set a goal.  My personal goals are to finish the 5K, loose 25 lbs and stay healthy.  What's your goal?
